Founded by Late Sri. B. M. Sreenivasaiah, B M S College Of Engineering in Bangalore has been in the educational field ever since 1946. It was later nurtured by his son, Late Sri. B. S. Narayan and was taken to great heights from them on. Having been in the field for a recognisable number of years, also considering the fact that it began before Independence, the college is applauded for its credibility. It classifies as being the first private sector set up specifically in the engineering field of education. It began its days offering no more than three undergraduate courses and now prides in the fact that it lays on the table a choice in thirteen undergraduate and sixteen postgraduate courses both in conventional and emerging areas. Recognized as Research Centers offering PhD/M.Sc (Engineering by Research) degrees in Science, Engineering, Architecture and Management are 15 of its departments. The institute truly believes in the fact that national growth is possible through technological development and efficient human resource. Which is why, the students here are trained well in their respective field not only to excel in their profession but be wholesome in their individuality.
